For the small number of people who are guilty of this -- I can't be more plain when I say to you that hurtful language will not be tolerated on this board. If you can't post without insulting someone else or making fun of someone else, PLEASE DO NOT POST AT ALL. We are all here to reconnect with old friends -- not cause hurt feelings and make any particular person or group feel unwelcome from joining and participating. This is the last time this issue will be addressed. Now for the vast majority of the participants, thank you for doing your part in keeping the board friendly and welcoming! Melissa Dorn Bratton
LOOK HERE WEEKLY FOR MESSAGES, ANNOUNCEMENTS AND ALL SORTS OF NEWS AND TIDBITS.
We've had interest from other classes to join us and keep up with their friends from the Class of 1989. We are working on a way to have a "friends of class of 89" section on this board so that we can all keep up but not get confused as to who was part of our class and who was a part of another year's class. So if you know of anyone who was in another class and they want to join us, have them be on the look out for the new section! Thanks!
Thanks to all of you for making this site successful. In under 2 weeks, the number of people who’ve signed up has been amazing. Please continue to send it to other McClellan High Class of 1989 alums that you stay in contact with but don’t see on the site. The more people we can get to sign up the better opportunity we have to network, support and reconnect with each other.
Just a few housekeeping notes:
-Please remember to keep it clean (no profanity) and nice. We are here to reconnect with old friends and maybe even make some new ones. This is best accomplished by respecting one another -- and our differences.
-Make sure that you upload your photo and your full name. It helps people reconnect with you and it makes it easier to utilize the search function when you include your full name in your profile.
-For women, if you’re married and your name is not hyphenated, consider including your maiden name so that other alums are able to identify you.
Accessing Email. You can access your email by clicking on the envelope icon at the very top of the page next to your name and the Ning name. Once accessed, you can send or retrieve emails. Remember your emails are private and no one can see those. Comments, however, are public. Contact us if you still have problems accessing your email.
In search of Alumni. Do you have alumni you want to reconnect with but they haven’t signed up on the site yet? Let me know and in the next roundup I can publish a list of those individuals and maybe someone who’s signed up knows how to reach them.
Announcements. If you have video or pictures from the Class Graduation, 10th year Reuion, Homecoming, Prom, Senior Assembly, Sporting events, Class Musicals or other Class events Please post them to the site.
In closing, if you have thoughts on how to make this site better, feel free to send an email. Although we’re limited to some extent by Ning.com’s platform, I will do my best.
Sincerely,
Reginald Block

Hello, Class of 89!
First, I would like to thank Reggie for all of his hard work getting this website up and going! This is great.
I would also like to invite everyone who is a member here to join the class of 89 yahoo group. It is an invitation only group but anyone who went to school at any time with us and should have graduated with the McClellan Class of 89 but didn't for any reason (moved, consolidation, quitting school, etc.) is welcome to join! If you haven't joined yet, please email me at mrdorn71@yahoo.com and I'll get an invitation out to you.
We started the yahoo group about a year ago as a list serv for our group. If you have a message to get out to the whole class, you can do it through the yahoo group. We also have posted polls (anyone can start a poll) about what you want to see for the 20th reunion and we have a database started.
Reggie and I are working together as co-administrators on both sites so that we can better serve our class.
I hope to see more and more of our classmates on both sites! So, please spread the word!

LLANABBA CASTLE presents two quite different aspects, according as you approach it from the Bangor or the coast road. From the back it looks very much like any other large country house, with a great many windows and a terrace, and a chain of glass houses and the roofs of innumerable nondescript kitchen buildings, disappearing into the trees. But from the front and that is how it is approached from Llanabba station it is formidably feudal; … Continue

Here the tram lines ended, so that men returning fuddled from Glasgow could doze in their seats until roused by their journey s end. There -was some way to go from the tram-stop to the camp gates a quarter of a mile in which they could button their blouses and straighten their caps before passing the guard-room, quarter of a mile in which concrete gave place to grass at the road’s edge. This was the extreme limit of the city. … Continue
